Estimated Reading Time: 2 Minutes

When life is full—family, work, training—nutrition has to be simple and sustainable. Over the years, I’ve refined my approach to three non-negotiables that keep me fueled, energized, and consistent without overthinking it.

1. Repeatable Routines

I eat the same breakfast every day. It removes decision fatigue, simplifies shopping, and ensures I start my day with something I know works. Having a predictable routine makes it easy to stay on track no matter how busy life gets.

2. Efficiency & Preparation

Knowing exactly what ingredients I need, which containers I’ll use, and how my meals fit into my day takes the guesswork out of eating well. This makes my nutrition effortless instead of a constant battle of choices.

3. Sustained Energy

By keeping my meals structured and balanced, I maintain steady energy throughout the day. This also helps me limit caffeine intake, keeping my appetite in check and avoiding energy crashes.

And the best part? I never get bored. I switch up my spices in my cottage cheese omelet, rotate different granola or jam in my Fage, and experiment with waffle toppings—lately, I’ve been making PB&J waffle sandwiches.

My Go-To Breakfasts & Macros

  1. Cottage Cheese Omelet
    • Macros: ~40g protein, 10g fat, 10g carbs
    • Ingredients: ½ cup egg whites, ½ cup cottage cheese, spices of choice
  2. Greek Yogurt & Granola
    • Macros: ~35g protein, 8g fat, 30g carbs
    • Ingredients: ¾ cup Fage 0%, 1 tbsp jam, ¼ cup granola
  3. Cottage Cheese Waffles (PB&J Sandwich Style)
    • Macros: ~50g protein, 15g fat, 45g carbs
    • Ingredients: 1 cup blended oatmeal, 1 tbsp melted butter, 1 egg, ½ cup egg whites, 1 cup cottage cheese, topped with PB & jam

Simple habits, big impact.
